Thrive Navigation Foundation

Making Access make sense. Helping communities thrive:

Because finding help shouldn’t feel harder than the help itself.

What We’re About

Thrive Navigation Foundation is a Canada-based, community non-profit organization operating in Edmonton, Alberta. At Thrive Navigation Foundation, we believe people shouldn’t need a map, a translator, or insider knowledge to access support. We work to improve access, equity, and connection for Black communities, people of African descent, newcomers, and other underserved populations by helping people understand where to go, how to start, and what’s needed to access existing services.

What We Do

We don’t provide services. We help people find and access the right ones.

Our work focuses on:

  • Community navigation – clear, simple pathways to housing, food security, health and wellness, employment, youth and family supports, and newcomer services
  • Visibility for Black-led and culturally responsive organizations, so communities know where to turn
  • Navigation support and follow-up, ensuring people don’t get lost after the first step
  • Community-level insight, helping funders and
partners understand real access gaps and barriers

Why This Matters

Across Edmonton, people from all walks of life face barriers when trying to access help.

  • Not because they don’t qualify.
  • Not because they didn’t try.
  • But because systems are complex, information is scattered, and pathways aren’t always clear.

Funders, service providers, and community leaders consistently see the same challenges:

  • People don’t know where to start
  • Eligibility rules are confusing
  • Small barriers cause major delays
  • Too many people fall through the cracks
